Frequently Asked Questions
No — quite the opposite. A quality winder rotates at the same gentle speed your wrist would naturally produce throughout the day. As long as the turns per day (TPD) and rotation direction are set correctly for your watch, there's no overwinding risk. Modern automatic movements have a slipping clutch that protects the mainspring from over-tensioning.
Yes. Our winders are built with adjustable cushions to comfortably hold watch faces from 38mm up to 46mm+, covering everything from a slim dress watch to a chunky dive watch. If you're between sizes, the cushion still secures the strap snugly without pressure on the case.
No — that's one of the most common worries and one of the easiest to put to rest. Our winders use a precision motor specifically chosen to run silently, even on continuous rotation. Most customers keep theirs on a bedside table or dresser and genuinely can't hear it running.
Every winder is covered by our 5-year warranty. If anything goes wrong, you're not stuck — just reach out and we'll sort a repair or replacement. You're not gambling on a one-off purchase with no support behind it.
A winder isn't about replacing hand-winding — it's about convenience and protecting the movement. If you rotate between several automatics, a winder means every watch is wound and keeping time the moment you pick it up, instead of resetting the date and time each time. For a single watch you wear daily, it's optional — but for a small collection, it quickly pays for itself in time saved.
